I ran across this blog post today:
Ten Signs You Are a Normal Catholic
Now, I don’t just want to be snarky. None of these actually applied to me (well, maybe the one about remembering Latin; but Latin *was* the language I took in high school). Then again, I never claimed to be a normal Catholic. But at the end the author is asking what he is missing. I humbly suggest he missed the following:
You try your best to love God and your fellow human beings with your whole heart, mind, soul and strength. And when you fail to do so you rely on the merits of Christ to assist you.
At least, I hope that is something normal Catholics do.
That sounds a lot harder than genuflecting at the movie theater.
